FC #4: Backend Blast ("Break the Glass" Record-Day Tactic)
Core idea
The backend blast is a one-day, all-levers revenue extraction play run entirely through chatting — no new marketing needed (marketing changes take 24–72h to convert; backend moves pay immediately). You push all four chatting levers (opens, selling chats, buy rate, average sale) by ~20% each on a single dedicated day; compounding roughly doubles daily revenue (e.g., $1k → $2k). Use sparingly (once per month or two), never daily.
Key concepts/frameworks
- Four chatting levers: opens (responders), selling chats, buy rate, average sale. Improve all four in one day.
- 80/20 allocation: 80% of chatter time goes to the top 20% of subscribers (past top spenders); 80% of revenue comes from them.
- Six subscriber lists (prep): top spenders; active big spenders (higher tier); inactive big spenders (30+ days); language lists; muted chats; renew-off list.
- Six-wave mass message engine: 1) good morning, 2) direct pitch, 3) re-engagement, 4) PPV drop, 5) follow-up on the PPV, 6) late-night message.
- Shock and relief format: drama/hot take/conflict opener, then the content as relief — not bland/dry.
- Message hygiene: exclude anyone who opened chat in last 24h; unsend + resend mass messages after 2h (resurfaces at top of timeline); never mass-message big spenders (custom-package everything for them).
- List multiplier: different bundles/offers/price tiers per list; cut long videos into clips; tailor mood/theme/pace per list.
- 70/30 message discipline: 70% proven copy/speed, 30% personalization (notes, custom closing questions, matching prior style; read previous replies first).
- Question-based selling: ask, don't pitch ("Why aren't you at your goals? What have you tried? What does hitting X change?"). Build the custom offer journey with the fan, then anchor price to their idea + execution.
- Take the deal: if you pitch $200 and fan counters $100, take the $100 and adjust the bundle.
Action items
- Pick a day this week and fully dedicate the team to the blast.
- Build the six lists before blast day; audit muted list daily (unmute after 24h).
- Mine last 4+ weeks of mass message history: rank by open rate and purchase rate; reuse proven winners; don't reinvent anything on blast day.
- Prepare 2 new PPV bundles with captions and price tiers per list in advance.
- Align marketing storyline for the day (optional but free upside).
- Set send windows to subscriber geography prime time: Germany 5–11pm; US 7pm–midnight ET. Follow the data, don't randomize.
- Run the six waves; stagger list-specific bundles in separate hours; resend mass messages after 2h.
- Hold a morning emergency team call: state the revenue target, the per-person bonus, roles, and the rule "follow the exact structure, no winging it."
- Run live comms all day (Discord/Slack/Zoom calls — not slow chat threads).
- Put a supervisor/you in the chats; chatters go hands-on on top spenders.
- Next morning: analyze results, pay bonuses immediately, send thank-yous to big spenders, document learnings to systematize the next blast.
SOPs/scripts/templates
- Renew-off / reactivation DM: 1-on-1 "exit interview" style message — "You're planning to leave, what's up?" — recovers 15–25% of expired/renew-off subs.
- Reconnect DM (30+ day inactive): personalized DM referencing context from their prior message history; build value before selling.
- Expired-fan free-trial play: switch account to free trial for 24h, blast marketing, mass-DM all expired fans: "It's free for the next 24 hours, come check/jump again." Captures them back into chats and mass-message flows.
- Day checklist (screenshotted from slides, not transcribed verbatim): prep lists → bundles ready → six waves → big-spender offense → stop selling when sessions end.
- Rule: when a session/goal is complete, stop selling — don't burn tomorrow's revenue.
Tools
- CH (CRM) — can exclude fans who opened chat in last 24h (or do manually on other CRMs).
- Discord / Slack / Zoom — live team communication on blast day.
Metrics/KPIs
- ~+20% on each of the 4 levers ≈ 2x daily revenue (compounding).
- Example: $1k average day → $2k record day.
- Reactivation flow recovery: 15–25% of renew-off/expired fans re-subscribe.
- Without a team bonus, expect only ~70% effort on blast day.
- Price-jump discipline: no leaps (e.g., not $30 → $100); build the funnel up gradually.
- Run frequency: at most ~once per month / every two months.
