FC #6: The Simple Rule to Double Your Business — The 7×10% Method
Core idea
There is no "silver bullet" fix for a stuck agency. Pick any part of your funnel and make it 10% better; repeat seven times and compounding multiplies revenue by ~1.95× (7 fixes = ~2×, 10 fixes = ~2.59×, 4 fixes = ~1.46×). Every fix is free — pure optimization of existing traffic, subs, and systems.
Key concepts/frameworks
- Silver bullet fallacy: stuck agency owners chase one magical fix (new niche, new chatter, AI content, more accounts); it doesn't exist — silver bullets are for werewolves, werewolves don't exist.
- 7×10% compounding: each 10% boost multiplies downstream steps. Funnel chain: creator output +10% → views +10% → profile visits +10% → link clicks +10% → conversion +10% → DM open rate +10% → PPV buy rate +10% ≈ 1.95× revenue.
- Needle hunter vs. silver bullet hunter: hunt small needles (metal detector mindset), not shiny objects.
- Both directions: zero fixes found = flat revenue; fixes compound month-over-month, restore calm, remove firefighting, make the agency ban-resilient and teachable to the team.
- No single point of failure: if one fix fails, six others still work; worst case nothing changes.
- Big 7-figure/month agencies do exactly this: basics done slightly better, repeatedly — never fancy moves.
Action items
- Stop answering "what ONE thing would double revenue" — reframe to "what SEVEN 10% improvements."
- Within 24 hours, write down your 7 specific 10% fixes on one page (vague list = bullshit results); share in the group.
- Rewrite one top-performing content concept with 3 new hooks today; ship them tomorrow.
- Fix one welcome-message/link-in-bio element today.
- Rewrite one PPV caption today; add a number, a price anchor, and send a B-version 4 hours later to non-openers.
- Pitch one custom to a top-paying fan today; track custom conversion rate.
- After finding your fixes, document how you found them so the team can find future fixes themselves.
SOPs/scripts/templates
- Hook fixes (Reels/TikTok/Shorts — first second): move the money frame to second one; cut the first 0.5s of filler; show the face in the first second; numeric hooks ("3 reasons", "7 seconds"); test 3 hook variants per concept; two-line text hook (curiosity + reward); start mid-action; pattern interrupt; question hook; study hooks that already worked.
- Welcome message / back-end funnel fixes: keep an active promo running; pin your best feed posts; audit the link-in-bio page (does it look good / convert?); use as few links as possible; remember new subs decide within the first 7 seconds whether they stay.
- PPV caption fixes: same creative + different words = different unlock rate; a mass message without good copy converts ~1/3 of one with good copy; add a number; add a price anchor; resend B-version to non-openers after 4 hours.
- Custom upsell fixes: send voice notes before the biggest PPVs; track custom conversion and iterate; ask two pre-sale questions: "What would you think if I sent you this content?" / "Are you ready for this?"; pitch customs to top-paying fans (most agencies do customs <5% of the time; big agencies do 25%+).

Metrics/KPIs
- 7 × 10% improvements ≈ 1.95× revenue; 4 fixes = 1.46×; 10 fixes = 2.59×; 14 fixes > 2×.
- Funnel metrics to improve 10% each: creator output, views, profile visits, link clicks, conversion rate, DM open rate, PPV buy rate.
- New subscriber decides in the first 7 seconds whether to stay.
- Good copy ≈ 3× the conversion of a mass message without copy.
- Custom upsell rate: <5% (typical) vs. 25%+ (big agencies) with top-paying fans.
- Test 3 hook variants per concept; resend PPV B-version after 4 hours.
